TECH-FAB Europe contributed an article to the 2024 Composites Sustainability Report, published by JEC.

The report is a partnership between JEC and the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA). TECH-FAB Europe joined EuCIA in February 2024. This year’s report presents the latest global initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable design, lifetime extension, and recycling technologies in the composites industry.

TECH-FAB Europe contributed an article about its new initiative to develop life cycle assessments (LCAs) of key technical textiles product families, which was launched earlier this year.

Written by Federica Rizzo of Owens Corning, chair of the TECH-FAB Europe Sustainability Working Group, and Raphaël Pleynet, secretary general, the article explains how the LCA project represents a key step towards the circularity and sustainability objectives of the European Green Deal.
